A young man finds the woman of his dreams and asks her to marry him. He tells his mother he wants her to meet his fiance, but he wants to make a bit of a game out of it. He says he'll bring the girl over with two other women and see if his mother can guess which is the one he wants to marry. His mother agrees to the game.

That night, he shows up at his mother's house with three beautiful young ladies. They all sit down on the couch, and everyone has a wonderful evening talking and getting to know each other.

What Is Stress?

Stress is a feeling that's created when we react to particular events. It's the body's way of rising to a challenge and preparing to meet a tough situation with focus, strength, stamina, and heightened alertness.
The events that provoke stress are called stressors, and they cover a whole range of situations - everything from outright physical danger to making a class presentation or taking a semester's worth of your toughest subject.
The human body responds to stressors by activating the nervous system and specific hormones. The hypothalamus signals the adrenal glands to produce more of the hormones adrenaline and cortisol and release them into the bloodstream. These hormones speed up heart rate, breathing rate, blood pressure, and metabolism. Blood vessels open wider to let more blood flow to large muscle groups, putting our muscles on alert. Pupils dilate to improve vision. The liver releases some of its stored glucose to increase the body's energy. And sweat is produced to cool the body. All of these physical changes prepare a person to react quickly and effectively to handle the pressure of the moment.
This natural reaction is known as the stress response. Working properly, the body's stress response enhances a person's ability to perform well under pressure. But the stress response can also cause problems when it overreacts or fails to turn off and reset itself properly.
Good Stress and Bad Stress
The stress response (also called the fight or flight response) is critical during emergency situations, such as when a driver has to slam on the brakes to avoid an accident. It can also be activated in a milder form at a time when the pressure's on but there's no actual danger - like stepping up to take the foul shot that could win the game, getting ready to go to a big dance, or sitting down for a final exam. A little of this stress can help keep you on your toes, ready to rise to a challenge. And the nervous system quickly returns to its normal state, standing by to respond again when needed.
But stress doesn't always happen in response to things that are immediate or that are over quickly. Ongoing or long-term events, like coping with a divorce or moving to a new neighborhood or school, can cause stress, too. Long-term stressful situations can produce a lasting, low-level stress that's hard on people. The nervous system senses continued pressure and may remain slightly activated and continue to pump out extra stress hormones over an extended period. This can wear out the body's reserves, leave a person feeling depleted or overwhelmed, weaken the body's immune system, and cause other problems.

TANDOORI ROTI

tandoori rotiIngredients:This is the way my mom makes Tandoori Roti at home.To make a tandoori roti you normally need a Tandoor and generally it is only available in Restaurants.
Some people might have Tandoors at home ( electric or Gas one). However this recipe my mom makes is done on the normal Gas or Electrric Hotplate.
Ingredients
1. Atta ( Wheat Flour ) 2 Cups2. Maida ( Refined Flour) 1/4 cup3. Ghee or Cooking Oil 2 Table spoons4. Yoghurt 2 Tablespoons.5. Some salt Instructions:1. Mix the Atta, Maida and Salt in a mixing bowl.2. Add the Yoghurt and add start kneading and add small quantities of water and knead .3. The dough should be kept tight. The best way is to knead the dough and add water little water and knead again, add more water if needed and repeat the kneading if needed.4. Leave this dough out for about 2 hours.5. Make a ball from this dough and flatten in into a roti , it should be bit thick say ( 4-5 mm thick) or something like a thin crust pizza base thickness.6. Take a thick bottomed Tava, Griddle or a Fry Pan and put it over the heat.7. Wet one side of the roti and put it on the Pan.8. Also wet the upper side of the roti as well with water, just sprinkle some water drops by hand or use a basting brush dipped in water.9. Now reverse the pan and hold it in your hand and let the roti get roasted over the heat. The roti will keep on sticking to the pan.10. Use your judgment as not to burn the roti off.11. Once the Roti is done on one side, it will fall off.12. Now Pick it up using the tongs .13. Normally the roti would have cooked well on both sides. But sometimes it may fall off bit early , in that case just pick it up and cook in the pan in the normal position.14. Smear it with some Ghee on one side.

Serve hot with a any a meat curry or vegeterian curry.

TIP: If you have a GRILL in our stove then it is easier to do it in the Grill. Make sure that you put the tray as close as possible to the heating elements or flame

PARTY SANDWITCH

Ingredients
COVERING
1 1/2 cups thick curd prepared from full cream milk salt, pepper to taste, 1 tsp powdered sugar
YELLOW CHEESE FILLING
50 gms paneer
2 tbsp finely grated cucumber or carrot salt, pepper to taste
1 tbsp milk, few drops of yellow colour or a pinch haldi
RED TOMATO FILLING
2 tomatoes - pureed in a grinder
2 tbsp tomato sauce
1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper
GREEN CHUTNEY MINT
1/2 bunch mint leaves
1 cup coriander leaves
1 onion sliced
1 tsp sugar, salt, and amchoor to taste
OTHER INGREDIENTS
12 slices of fresh bread

method
Hang curd for 1/2 hour in a thin cloth. Beat well along with salt, sugar & pepper teill smooth. Keep in the fridge.
To prepare yellow filling, grate paneer. Mix everything to make a paste of spreading consistency. Add some yellow colour. Keep filling aside.
Grind tomatoes to a puree in a mixer. Cook puree in a small pan till thick. Add tomato sauce, salt & pepper. Cook for 1 min. Keep red filling aside.
Grind all ingredients of the mint chutney to a fine paste with some water.
In a longish serving plate, arrange 3 slices bread joining each other.
Spead cheese filling on each slice. Butter 3 more slices and cover the cheese filling with the buttered side of the slices.
Spread green chutney generously. Cover with 3 more buttered slices of bread.
Cover this loaf with beaten bread.
Draw a clean fork lengthwise on the curd, across the sandwich in the centre. Draw lines on the sides also with the fork.
Dip small corianderleaves in cold water for 10 min. Arrange 2 rows of open coriander leaves on both sides.
In the centre, place cherry or grape halves on the fork lines, if you like.
